PROPONENT INITIATIVES

AFFECTING TASS

• USAAVNC now involves ARNG in the
development of plans and decision making.

• ARNG participates in critical task selection
boards.

• New staffing procedures for all Avn Branch
POIs are being implemented. Staffing will
include all Training Institutions.

ROPONENT SCHOOL ISSUES

AFFECTING TASS

• NGB's non-concurrence without detailed
comments really slows down the process.

• POIs are sent to NGB for review after
completion. If there is a problem, it is
identified after completion rather than during
the design.

• Occasionally POIs are not being forwarded to
the TASS Battalions for SME input.

• Title XI soldiers have no venue to address
sensitive Proponent level issues.

TASS-RELATED
INSTALLATION SUPPORT

CHALLENGES

• System Approach to Training (SAT) process is
not being followed at USAAVNC/USAALS.

- Haphazard process for POI changes.

- No central ownership of all Avn POIs.

• ASAT design does not currently allow for POI
production. New release anticipated 1APR to fix
this problem.

• TADSS resources are usually not adequate when
expanding additional training locations.

• Legacy systems continue to receive low priority.
